Who to Ask
If you hold an account (show manager, judge, steward, scorer, or a rider account), ask us directly at [email protected].
If you are a rider, a parent or a guardian, the show you entered put your information into SEQ and is the first place to ask; the show manager can correct or remove it. You can also ask us, and we will act on it or take it up with the show for you.
See and Correct Your Information
Your name, email, photo and signature are in the app under your account, where you can change them and change your password. A show’s riders, classes and results are corrected by the show’s manager or office. To receive a copy of the information we hold about you, write to us and we will send it within 30 days.
Delete Your Account
Write to us from the email address on the account and ask. We close the account and remove your profile within 30 days. Two things are kept:
- Signed tests. A test you signed as a judge is part of the show’s record and keeps your name as its signer, just as a paper test would.
- Billing records for shows you managed, for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Deleting a rider account removes the rider profiles and horses added to it. The show’s own records of the rider’s entries and tests stay with the show, and the email addresses the show office keeps for a rider are the show’s to remove; ask the show, or ask us and we will take it up with them.
A show manager who wants a whole show removed, rather than an account, can ask us to delete the show and everything in it once the show is over and any bill is settled.
Withdraw From Voice Scoring, Voice ID and AI Features
- Voice scoring is a choice on every ride. Score by hand instead and no audio is processed.
- Voice ID can be removed in the app under Controls. The voiceprint is stored only on that device, so removing it there removes it everywhere.
- Earpiece reminders can be switched off in Controls.
- Proofreading and the ride referee are switched on or off for the whole service by SEQ. A judge who does not want them can score by hand, or write to us.
Riders, Parents and Guardians
Riders’ names never appear on the public results page unless the show turns them on; by default the page shows entry numbers only. If a name has been shown and you want it removed, ask the show manager, or write to us and we will take it up with the show at once.
After a show, you can ask the show, or us, to remove a rider’s information from SEQ. A show may need to keep its official results, and where it does we will remove what can be removed, such as a contact email, and make sure nothing remains public.
Public Results Pages
A show may publish its schedule and final placings on a page anyone can open. That page is the show’s choice, and the show manager can turn names on or off and can withdraw the placings at any time. The page carries no advertising and no tracking.
Emails From SEQ
We send only the emails the service needs: staff invitations, password resets, replies to your messages, bills and receipts for show managers, and, for riders, an invitation to see a released test and a link to confirm an email address. We send no newsletters and no marketing.
A rider’s invitation goes to each address the show holds for that rider when their first test is released, with a reminder every three days until someone signs up with that address or it unsubscribes.
Every email we send a person ends with “Unsubscribe or choose your emails”. The link needs no sign-in, and it lets you stop all SEQ emails or only some kinds: rider invitations and reminders, or staff invitations. Your choice is kept by email address, so it covers every show and every organization, and we keep a record of when and how it was made. Emails you ask for yourself, such as a password reset or a link to confirm your own address, are still sent when you request them. If you no longer want any email from us, unsubscribe from all of them, or ask us to close your account.
Cookies and Data Stored on Your Device
Signing out removes the sign-in cookie. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes the cached show data, any enrolled Voice ID and your settings from that device. On an iPad or iPhone this is under Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data.
Withdrawing From a Show
SEQ does not take entries and cannot withdraw a rider from a show. To scratch or withdraw, contact the show’s organizer or secretary; they will mark the entry as scratched in SEQ.
Your Rights Under Privacy Laws
Laws in several places, including California and other U.S. states and the European Union, give people rights over their personal information: to know what is held, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to limit some uses, and not to be treated differently for asking. We extend these rights to everyone who uses SEQ, wherever they live.
SEQ does not sell personal information, does not share it for targeted advertising, and does not use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. There is therefore nothing to opt out of on that score, and we do not use cookies or tracking that a browser’s privacy signals would need to stop.
If you believe we have not honoured a request, tell us and we will look again. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator where you live.
How to Send a Request
Email [email protected] with what you would like done, and, so that we can find and check the information, your name, the email address you use with SEQ, your role, and the show if it concerns one. We confirm requests by replying to the email address on the account, or, for a rider’s information, by checking with the show that entered it. Someone may make a request for you if they can show they are allowed to. We answer within 30 days, and we tell you if we need longer or cannot do part of what you asked and why.
